Title: ITG2 r21 - Now at Kapow!
Post by: EBE@RTF on December 05, 2006, 12:43:57 PM
Old news for most regulars on the board, but after a recent trip to Kapow! at the Logan Hypderdome, we can now confirm that In The Groove 2 r21 is installed and working happily.

This includes the feature to load custom songs and steps from USB memory. With a copy of StepMania on your home PC, you can include (almost) any song you like in your next game of ITG.

Songs need to be in .OGG format, less than 5MB in size, and the steps must be in .SM format. More info and links are available from the forum (http://www.rankingtaskforce.net/forum/index.php?topic=128.0), and there are plans to put together a special 'brisbemani mix' of our handiwork.

More trips to Kapow! will be organised in the new year. Keep your eyes on the forum for more details.

Yeah it 'worked' for approximate values of 'working'.

Well I don't know if these are r21 faults as much as faults with the USB support in general.  It's always been dodgy, more so with some USB devices than others.  This just gave more people a reason to use the USB facility and also demanded more of it since the song files are large compared to other data.
