The machine is in good condition, screen is big and slightly laggy (didn't affect me significantly) and on difficulty 5. I found double impossible to play on it, the screen just hurts your eyes on double. Single is okay. Difficulty too high but Bill said it may get adjusted,

Cant play double? Screen too...big?

The lag was terrible before but now they adjusted the resolution it playable, I managed to get some AA's after I got used to the AC controller.

It's only with double.  It might be because I'm not used to it, Shannon did fine.  I just could either stand really far back and not be able to reach BOTH scratches, or really close and have to turn my head to see, and eventually all you see is a blur, quite literally.  Also the difficulty is too hard to play double efficiently, although Bill said he'd get permission to turn it down as he thought so too (without me telling him I thought so).  The lag is fine, it's the same as Melbourne's or better, but it is laggy.  It may affect you on 12s or something, I dunno.  The buttons seem okay.  I just...the difficulty and the blur really made it frustrating.  Songs I can pass every time in Timezone, I failed quite badly.  Final Countdown, for instance.  It's always a factor when you go between arcades that the setup is different and you may not cope as well, true, but the difficulty is my biggest complaint really.  Let me put it this way:  You could pretty much come along and beat 12s on it if you are good enough, but the odds are against you because of the difficulty.  But double?  Didn't really suit me, although Shannon loved it and got addicted to double somehow.  Never happened in Timezone.

I'm trying to be really fair and positive here rather than whiny.  I wouldn't recommend replacing the TV since so few people play double and I seem to be the only one affected so far, not to mention it costs money (despite the fact it's el cheapo).  That TV attracts customers.  Simple.  I'm actually looking forward to seeing who does what next - Timezone or Funhouse, I mean.  I don't think anybody would deny it's a breath of fresh air in what's sometimes a rather stale Bemani community (and I mean games, not people).

Any idea if its US/Eu versions with some things already unlocked, or Asian where we have to wait 2 years for unlock codes again.

Yup, also known as IIDX (2DX). Beware, it's got one of the nastiest learning curves within the Bemani range, and is also pretty addictive.

Nah man it's all about how fast you can fap, hence the title, Beatmania, there's a multitude of play modes too! You can choose from single, double, expert, endless & survival. There's another option I like to choose called 'Stamina King', Joel's got the top score on that atm.

I also hear there's a fiercely competitive internet ranking scene for it in Japan where you can measure yourself up with fellow beaters.

I have personally seen DDRX2 installed over the DDRX machine at Funhouse

Did not play it, as it is $2. Will wait for Wendy to play so I can watch her

however tbh it just isn't good enough. you cant argue with this, players like me, dan, kevin etc. who are all a lot better than you all agree with this. we all get smeg and it's really annoying. Dan gets pad greats like crazy. I dont even bother maing there, its a waste

2 Bucks. It must be packed with some features that are quite expensive.
I should go over there and see it myself. If what you say is true, then I should go there and give it a shot.

Oh yeah. I've came back from playing DDRX in the city. Man that was a long and difficult session, but it was so much fun. I also found a bunch of guys that know a guy named Chino. They shut themselves up after I told them what he really was. I'm such a terrible person for telling him that.
